Dr. Mame Wilson is a healthcare consultant for Learning Sprouts, as well as co-founder and owner of Personal Pediatrics, LLC - a small home based Pediatric practice offering concierge care in the convenience of her patients’ homes. She is a board certified pediatrician with experience in a wide variety of different settings from underserved urban communities to large busy suburban practices. Mame grew up in Duxbury, left to attend Harvard College and then bounced around the country a bit before returning to Massachusetts to go to UMass Medical School in Worcester. After completing a pediatric residency at MGH in Boston, she and her husband bought a 300 year old house in Duxbury where they are busy raising their three children (along with their dog, two bunnies and an assortment of chickens). She loves the small-town feel of owning a medical practice in the same community where she grew up, and finds it fun and rewarding to run into patients at the playground or grocery store and to know their families well beyond the context of just being their doctor. Last year, after working for over 10 years as a Primary Care Pediatrician, Mame founded Personal Pediatrics in an attempt to reinstate a simpler, more old-fashioned, way of delivering care to families, but with the added benefit of newer technologies and up-to-date medical advances.
